Get tracking and glowing!

These unique Travel Bugs allow the outline of the scarab to shine at night!

Each tag features a unique QR code that takes you directly to the the item's trackable page on Geocaching.com. Just scan it...log it.... and keep it moving.

A Geocaching QR Travel Bug® is a unique tracking tag that you can attach to items and give them goals for others to try and complete! This does not replace the classic Travel Bug® but simply is in addition to our existing product line.

Each Geocaching Travel Bug® gets its own page on geocaching.com where you can track its progress as it passes on from person to person or cache to cache.

To learn more about the Geocaching Travel Bugs®, visit this web site.

Each Geocaching Travel Bug® comes as a pair; one bug gets attached to an item (or on its own) and the other is a copy that you can hold on to. Geocaching Travel Bugs® have a unique tracking number stamped into the metal tag. The tag was designed for durability.

Scratches Easy

Like the other colors, these are great TB's. The only issues I noticed is that the black scratches very easy. Otherwise this is a great TB for a great value and price. There's just something with the coating.

It's ok

I bought a few of these hoping that people would not take them and would actually pass them around and keep them going but as soon as I put them in the cache, they went missing and I have not had any activity from them since spring of 2013. I even went back and they were not there. I would buy more but I don't want it to happen to me again.

Cool Idea

I like the idea of these. Looking up and logging trackables can be difficult and confusing to do, which can lead to them going missing or be misplaced. Anything to help make it easier is an improvement. I have yet to find a QR tag in the wild so haven't really tried real-world, but I released one recently.

I also like the black color and feel of the tag.

Might be nice if the official app was able to scan right from the app. I also think it would be nice to give them a unique icon - perhaps a QR code icon.

If the copy tag does not have any information stamped on it, there is no need to include it. Save the aluminum.

Good option.

I've gotten a few of these in the past and have a few of them out on their goals traveling. Not everyone is able to scan these so its good to have both the regular numbers & letters as well as the Q R code. Something I will mention is the type of scanner App you download onto the smart phone will affect your scanning ability. What happened to me I got the free App and didn't work, paid for another and worked the first time. In short, like them and keep making quality products and we'll keep coming back for more
