Perfect Match Review by Alexis

I bought this to go on my geo-bag and couldn't be happier with what I received. It was the perfect size to go over the velcro patch my bag already had and charcoal was a very good match for my black bag. The tracking number is very well engraved and I hope to show it off at our next event!

amazing product Review by Perfect Trackable for Your Geobag

I bought this patch based upon the reviews of other cachers. I received my order very quickly and upon inspection the travel bug patch is both stylish and sturdy. It comes with a separate strip so that if you don't have a Velcro surface to attach it to you can either sew on the Velcro patch or sew it directly onto an item.

Luckily my Maxipedition Fatboy GTG Verispack has two section of open Velcro so I just placed my directly onto my bag. The Velcro is very secure and I do not have any fear of it slipping off or getting caught on any branches, etc.

This is defiantly a talking piece and a few of my friends now want to get one. I totally recommend buying this!

A must for your bag Review by MBC

Bought this for my geocaching/biking/general use backpack. I have a Maxpedition Falcon II Pygmy in black. The charcoal blends in perfectly with Maxpedition's black bags.

I think its cool that that you have the option to sew on the patch or just sew on the velcro part of it to make the patch removable. By this I mean that the patch comes with loop velcro already sewn directly to the patch. The hook field is a separate piece that is in the shape of the patch that you can sew directly on to your bag so that you may remove the patch when necessary. This was a feature I though really made it worth the $10. Had it been only a patch.. it would have been a $7-8 item for me. But in the end, whats a couple bucks.

The negative part of this patch, if there has to be one, is that most patches you'll come across can be ironed on. I don't believe this one has the ability to do that. So start brushing up on your sewing skills or attempt some sort of glue as others have suggested.

Nice Geo Jewelry! Review by Tripple Shot

I bought the charcoal color to dress up my pack. I used E-6000 glue and the adhesion to the pack is stronger than the velcro! But the velcro is a strong hold and I don't worry about losing the patch.

The patch embroidery is a good quality but I may put a dab of glue under the metal tracking number strip in case rabbit country (thorns!) tries to claim it.

Overall I'm very pleased with patch.

Great conversation piece Review by Groundpounder106

Wear it daily. The many inquiries are a great way to spread the geocaching message. The trail cards are great in conjunction in this situation.

Got one to put on the caching vest I got for Christmas. Vest is black so the charcoal one looks pretty good on it.Good conversation starter at events.

Love this patch! I don't cache without it, literally! Review by Kraf_T1

I have had my patch now for almost a year and I love it. I bought the charcoal one it because I wanted the darker color to blend in with my “camo” baseball cap that I wear when I cache, and I say it does. I actually seen the whole Velcro thing as a huge bonus (I did not know it had this when I bought it), Because whenever someone else discovers it I just rip it off my hat and hand it to them rather then hold still or give them my cap to take down the code. This was a huge hit at MOGA 2012. I would rip the bug off and their eyes would get wide and say “That is so cool!” I have even had another local cacher blatantly tell me he was going to steal my idea he liked it so much.

In short I would go with the charcoal one. It is the closest to the bug tag color. And if you at first don’t like the Velcro, make lemonade like I did.

Quality NOTE: This patch seems to be a good quality product and the Velcro has a really strong hold (I never worry about losing it when I am out).

Fun Trackable for our Trusty Geobag! Review by Hawkeye AV&G

Bought this patch to put on the pack we take out with us. Arrived shortly after ordering (4 days later if that). The patch looks very sturdy, and is nicely designed. I ordered the charcoal (after reading the other review) and I am glad I did. The charcoal color most closely resembles the original dog tag colors.

I am going to try and avoid sewing through the heavy velcro material by using a heavy duty fabric glue. It may be a method to think about since the hook side of the velcro is permanently attached to the patch.
